ARTIST STATEMENT

 

   From memory, faith, and compulsion personal symbols and metaphors are derived, often rooted in the natural world. Intertwined within my practice is the use of repetitive processes like hand sewing, writing, or the hammering of pins to meditate on memory. In making these devotional objects I pay respect to the transformation, as well as signs I have experienced that I attribute to a higher power.
